My Dappa Box: Review August 2018
For the last four years I have reviewed a lot of monthly subscription boxes. Some are excellent and others are quite poor to be honest. So when Mydappabox contacted me to review their new box I was excited. I thought: a new box for men that looks great., I can't wait!
And the box arrived last week in all its glory, and it’s time to let you know what I think about it.

This is a monthly subscription box that offers a mix of grooming products and fashion accessories for men. It costs £19 and it promises you to give you around 4-5 products with a value over £50. My Dappa Box is shipped and customers receive their boxes around the 25th-26th of the month.
packaging & content
Firstly, I would like to mention the packaging because in my opinion this is something important. If a subscription box doesn’t look great on the outside, it already doesn’t give a great vibe. Good news though! My Dappa Box looks great on the outside. The box is smaller than I expected but it is sturdy and it has a nice masculine feel about it. Well done on the packaging!
Once you open the box you have some leaflets with a list of products included and some advertisements that you might find useful. Everything is well packaged, and I can tell that the team behind My Dappa Box is putting extra effort on the details. I like that!
So what’s inside?
Friendly Soap: Charcoal Detox Bar (value £8.00). I am a big fan of charcoal products, and Friendly Soaps make great bars of soap with natural products. This charcoal detox bar is perfect to clean your face every day and night. It smells great and I promise you that your skin will look fresh and amazing.
Pure Skincare London: Black Mask and Brush (Value 7.00). This mask is vegan friendly and it contains 100% natural ingredients. So how does it work and what does it do? You have to apply the mask on your T Zone with the help of the brush (included in the box). Don’t be skimpy when applying the mask because it cannot be too thin on your skin! You have to wait until it’s dry, and then the fun starts! It might hurt a little bit when you peel off the mask (but that’s part of the game). This is perfect for a really deep cleansing! And if you want to add some fun, do it with your wife/husband/partner!
Solid Cologne: Felix Cologne (value £16.00). I've heard about solid colognes before but never used one before so as you can imagine I was very intrigued. So what is a solid cologne? Basically this is like an eau de toilette but in wax form. Rub it onto your fingers and apply it on your neck, wrist and wherever you want. The good thing is that the solid cologne comes in a small tin which is ultra portable and you can take it with you and reapply whenever you need it. Unfortunately you will have to re-apply a few times during the day because the smell doesn’t last long (like a normal fragrance spray) but it smells amazing! I love the Felix fragrance. This is a very sexy, masculine fragrance and I am sure you will receive a lot of positive comments about it. Probably one of my favourite products of My Dappa Box August 2018.
Tumble & Hide Tan Leather Card Holder (value £18.00). I am a big fan of Card holders and they have replaced my wallet. I am now using this card holder every single day. I love it! The quality of the leather is great, the design is really neat, and all the cards I need with me fit perfectly fine.
Dear Barber. Shaping Cream (value £5.00). Dear Barber is a well known brand of hair styling products and I was excited to try this shaping cream. It has a medium hold, a subtle matte finish and smells really great, but ultimately I didn’t like it. I don’t think this product is great if you have thick hair and I am not too keen with the finish. However if you have short and normal/thin hair I think you will be pleased with that one.
my dappa box: thoughts
I am gonna use one word: Impressive! This box is really great and if you are looking for a subscription box for guys, don’t think twice - go for it! Honestly, I think that the team has put a lot of effort and this August box deserves 5*****. The value for money is really good, and the selection of products included is Top Notch!
