Back in 1998, Zara launched their first fragrance for men. It was created by Puig perfumes. It smells great, and it has this distinctive Puig scent to it. Years later, Zara is an important player in the fragrance world, with a long list of eau de toilette for men, women, and kids.

Zara Man 800 Black is my favourite fragrance produced by Zara. Launched in 2021, 800 Black is a woody fragrance that I am sure a lot of men would consider a night fragrance. However, I have been wearing this eau de toilette to work during the day and have received numerous compliments.

Packaging

Affordably priced fragrances, such as this one (only £12.99 in the UK), typically have cheap packaging and uninspiring bottles. But not with Zara's magic. The bottle is lovely; it's simple but luxurious. It reminds me of the original Dolce & Gabbana pour homme (which was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s). The black bottle is well-made, and you'll be proud to show it off in your bathroom. Zara adheres to its philosophy of creating beautiful products that feel great at an affordable price.

how does it smell?

One word: amazing! This is a woody and citrus fragrance that is easily associated with the evening. It has a masculine, seductive, and warm scent. It has yuzu, saffron, and tonka notes. Personally, I think this is a sexy fragrance that is appropriate for both a date night and your daily work. It reminds me of Jean Paul Gaultier's classic Le Male from the 1990s.

Another advantage of Zara's 800 Black is that it lasts all day on my skin. And at £12.99, it's a steal. I've tried other Zara fragrances, but none of them lasted as long as this one. But, once again, this is just me and my skin; your results may vary.

should you buy it?

If you like fresh fragrances that remind you of an Italian barbershop, I don't think 800 Black eau de toilette is for you. However, if you don't mind a woody scent, I strongly recommend it. This is a winner at £12.99 and you will not be disappointed.
